Apple
Start spreadin’ the news….
It’s an apple of a day….
Tulu won the New York City Marathon by 8 seconds now what do you say….
I’d say that was great, did you really say 8?
Petrova, Daunay, and Radcliffe were just ticks away….
From the start to the park….
But I really want to know….
How ran Nichol? XXXFAB:08 (Ooops, I see that Nichol does not want it disclosed. WHY?)
Eight? Eight! Hey, my snow white ate a bite out of eight of my new green apples in my borough too. Does any of this make sense? Of course not, but I wish I was in the park this morning!
Congratulations Nichol!!!!!! There I spead the news!

I THOUGHT that I was going to take a walk in the (central) park due to the two month extreme tapering program called Plantar Fascitis and Tendonitis that I was dabbling in BUT it was such a beautiful morning,( aside from the drizzle and nipple cracking chill)),that when the gun went off and Sinatra’s voice played to the heavens above the Verrazzano bridge………I decided to move it,move it instead of shuffling the run.So worth it and yet my note to self is to not “gut it out” when Mike suggests that to race a race would require that gutting. I never before realized how many steps one has to go up and down when using the subway system. Best race ever..diverse external stimuli and a simultaneous need for intense focus due to undertraining. Although my PR was merely 23 seconds, I worked much harder then in any other marathon and yet was okay because I fell into the rhthym and didn’t waver.Plus, I got to see two of my best friends from the Peace Corps days……

Congratulations Nichol! I am glad it was such a big success and you ran amazing! Not sure why you do not want your time announced.

Oh, because I was going to jog it but then I changed my mind when the gun went off.
